PROGRAMS AND GOALS
Engaging with individual volunteers, schools, municipalities, government agencies, churches, and organizations that share our passion to ensure LARs resources are leveraged at local and national levels.
Developing, implementing, distributing, and donating high-quality content, programs, workshops and services, that address issues in the core LARs literacy concentrations; reading & writing, technology, financial & philanthropy, image & social skills, cultural and multicultural, and more as dictated by the needs of our community.
Serving as the subject matter expert and leader in communities nationwide garnering awareness and a sense of urgency for the core LARs literacy concentrations as they relate to children, teens, and adults.
Soliciting support and partnerships from leading community organizations, churches, groups, and community advocates to successfully implement LARs programs in urban communities across the country.
Programs are offered on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.

LEADERS ARE READERS (LARs) BACK TO SCHOOL GIFT OF READING EVENTS
Join LARs founder, author, and Children’s literacy Advocate Mykah Montgomery for read-with-a-child activities through the year. Read-with a child activities have been proven to boost self-esteem and provide positive alternatives to violence, plus the kids truly love seeing support from leaders in their community.
- Sign up to be considered for the distinct honor to read to a child and make a positive difference that lasts a lifetime.Locations – schools, libraries, churches, etc.
VOLUNTEER FINGERPRINTING REQUIRED. - Unable to physically volunteer – Make a financial contribute to help us purchase books to be “gifted” to the children at each event.
